  • March 1 - John and Yoko appear together for the first time since their split in 1973 at the Grammy Awards, where John is a guest presenter.
  • March 3 - Linda McCartney is arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in the US.
  • March 6 - John issues a statement saying that his separarion from Yoko is over.
  • March 10 - Single release: John Lennon. Stand By Me/Move Over Ms. L in US.
  • March 24 - Capitol Records holds a party for Wings on the liner Queen Mary, docked at Long Beach.
  • March 26 - Ringo attends the world premiere of the film Tommy, based off the album by The Who. With Ringo is his new girlfriend, Nancy Andrews.
