Sometime in mid-1964 (possibly in June), Atlantic Records overdubbed the original 1961 Ain't She Sweet with louder drums, played possibly by Bernard Purdie.

This version was released on July 6, 1964 on the Ain't She Sweet/Nobody's Child single. The same version was released on the Atlantic LP Ain't She Sweet.
