The Beatles appeared live on ABC TV's news program ABC At Large, broadcast in the Midlands and north regions of Britain between 11:00 and 11:50 PM. They were interviewed, along with Brian Epstein, by David Hamilton, who would later become a popular radio DJ. He asked about their sudden rise to fame and why so many other Liverpool groups had not succeeded. Also in the program were fan interviews and an appearance by Gerry Marsden of Gerry and The Pacemakers. The Beatles did not perform any music, although a clip of them lip-synching to Please Please Me, previously broadcast on Thank Your Lucky Stars, was reaired.
