Beautiful Dreamer is a 1954 song by Slim Whitman adapted from an 1864 poem. The Beatles covered it live in 1962 and 1963. In addition to this, The Beatles recorded a version for the BBC Radio program Saturday Club on January 22, 1963.

Beautiful Dreamer was part of The Beatles' live set in 1962. This continued into early 1963, when the song was part of The Beatles' setlist in their package tour with Helen Shapiro. This tour began on February 2 and ended March 3. They aren't known to have played the song after the Shapiro package tour ended.

The Beatles performed the song on their first appearance on the BBC Radio program Saturday Club on January 22, 1963, providing the only existing recording of the song. This program was presented by Brian Matthew, who hosted both this and The Beatles appearance on "Thank Your Lucky Stars". The Beatles rehearsed at 2:30 PM and recorded from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It was broadcast on January 26 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
