Bo Diddley was an American Rock and Roll singer, guitarist, and songwriter who played a key role in the transition of Blues to Rock and Roll.

- The Beatles performed his song Crackin' Up live from 1960 to 1961.
- The Beatles performed his song Road Runner live from 1961 to 1962.
- Ringo Starr saw Bo Diddley perform at the Odeon Cinema in Southend as part of a package tour with The Rolling Stones and The Everly Brothers.
- During a Get Back session on January 3, 1969, The Beatles covered his song Crackin' Up. This performance is available on bootlegs.
- The Beatles performed his song Road Runner at a Get Back session on January 22, 1969. This performance is availale on bootlegs.
- The Beatles performed his song Bo Diddley twice during the Get Back sessions, once on January 7, 1969 and again on January 29. Both are available on bootlegs.
