Cole Albert Porter (June 9, 1891 – October 15, 1964) was an American composer and songwriter.

- Hello Little Girl, the first song ever written by John Lennon, was lyrically influenced by Porter's 1936 song "Its De-Lovely" from the musical Red, Hot and Blue.
- The Beatles covered his 1956 song True Love in their live performances throughout 1960.
- The Beatles covered his 1956 song True Love during a Get Back session on January 8, 1969.
