| Short description | The Beatles film an advertisement for A Hard Day's Night, as well as interviews for Star Parade. |
| Location | Twickenham Film Studios, St. Margaret's, Twickenham |
On this date, a strange advertisement for A Hard Day's Night was filmed. It featured two baby carriages, one with John and George and another with Ringo and Paul sitting in. John typed, Paul spoke, George mumbled, and Ringo answered a telephone twice, saying, "It's for you, John," to which John replied "Don't be soft." This advertisement had very little, if anything, to do with the film A Hard Day's Night, but it was distributed to cinemas, anyway. Afterwards, The Beatles filmed for Tyne Tees Television, an ITV franchise for Northeast England. The program Star Parade had viewers send in questions for The Beatles. Presenter Adrian Caims gave the questions to The Beatles to answer. The Beatles gave their answers straight to the camera. Later on, in Newcastle, some girls were filmed "asking" the questions directly to the camera. This footage was later edited in with The Beatles' footage, simulating a fan interview. This, as well as an interview with Adrian Caims, was broadcast on Star Parade on April 9 from 10:10 to 10:40 PM.
