Short description Filming for The Mersey Beat BBC TV special.
Location Liverpool
Ringo was filmed fighting his way through kids to get to George's open-top-sports car in front of his house at 10 Admiral Grove, Liverpool 8. Many of the kids looked to be about seven years old and may have been put there by the TV crew. At the end of the shot, George and Ringo sped away with kids hanging on to the back of the car. John and Paul were present during the shooting of this scene, but did not participate. Ringo also shot a solo scene which addressed his oft-stated aspiration to become a ladies' hairdresser. In this, he was filmed walking along a line of women sitting under hairdressers in the salon situated within Home Bros clothing store in Lord Street, Liverpool city center.
