The Grosvenor Ballroom in Grosvenor Street, Wallasey is Wirral’s Premier Ballroom Dance venue. It was built in 1906 as a Ballroom and is still used regularly for the purpose it was built. Apart from recent (spring 2001) essential rewiring work and redocoration, the building is, largely unchanged and today's dancers are still dancing on the original floor. The Grosvenor, with its spacious main Hall and large sprung maple wood dance floor (65 feet by 40 feet), is the only remaining venue of its kind left in the Borough.
