Short description John Lennon and George Harrison attend the opening of the Apple shop.
Location Apple, 94 Baker Street, London

Because Ringo was in Italy filming Candy and Paul was in Scotland vacationing for 17 days, John and George represented The Beatles at a grand opening party for their Apple shop, on 94 Baker Street in London. Several friends and celebrities came to socialize, drink apple juice, and toast the future of the shop. The shop itself would not open until December 7. Early in the party, John and Cilla Black were interviewed by BBC radio reporter Brian Cullingford, who brought the tape to the nearby BBC Broadcasting House to be aired in this evening's edition of Late Night Extra, aired between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM. A total of 2 minutes and 42 seconds were aired, 1 minute and 46 seconds of which included John, who was cut off, somewhat inappropriately by the record A Hard Day's Night.
