| Short description | Performance at Candlestick Park. Final advertised Beatles concert ever. |
| Location | Candlestick Park, Jamestown and Harney Way, San Francisco, California, USA |
An audience of 25,000 saw this concert, which started at 8:00. It turned out to be the final concert The Beatles ever played, save for an impromptu performance on the rooftop of Apple Studios on January 30, 1969 (See Live Performance - January 30, 1969). John took a camera on stage and took pictures of the other Beatles between songs, as well as pictures of himself. Paul also took pictures and asked Tonny Barrow, then-press officer for The Beatles and member of NEMS Enterprises, to make an audio cassette recording of the concert. This cassette, however, did not capture the entire concert, as it was a thirty-minutes-per-side cassette, and the concert lasted thirty three minutes. For that reason, the casette cuts off during the final song, Long Tall Sally. After the show, The Beatles flew back to Los Angeles at 11:00 PM, landing at 12:50 AM.
