After nearly 300 appearances at The Cavern Club over two and a half years, this was the final Beatles appearance at The Cavern Club. Bob Wooler, compere for The Cavern Club, claims he was told by Brian Epstein that the band would play The Cavern Club again, but they never went back. Tickets for this performance went on sale on July 21 at 1:30 PM and were sold out by 2:30 PM. These tickets cost £300, much more than the £5 it cost when they first came to the Cavern Club.
