The Beatles returned to the London Palladium on this date to once again be part of "Val Parnell's Sunday Night At The London Palladium." Most of the day was spent rehearsing. It was broadcast from 8:25 PM to 9:25 PM that night. The Beatles appeared as the top of the bill. They appeared in a card carrying skit with Bruce Forsyth. Also on the program was Alma Cogan (a friend of The Beatles until her 1966 death), and Irish comedian Dave Allen (who had previously been on the bill with The Beatles in their 1963 tour with Helen Shapiro).
