The performance at The Cavern Club was the first of five shortened gigs at the Cavern, running for one hour instead of two. The Kingsway Club in Promenade, Southport, Lancs really showed the transition that Brian Epstein helped the Beatles make to better clubs. At this point, they were getting into places with stages, curtains, dressing rooms, and carpets.
