This was the very first of thirty-one performances at the Aintree Institute on Longmoor Lane in Aintree, Liverpool, which, as promoter Brian Kelly often pointed out, was behind the Black Bull pub, not far from the Aintree racecourse, where the Grand National Steeplechase took place. The second show was spent at Lathom Hall in Seaforth, Liverpool, where they had previously performed on May 14, 1960.
