Short description Mixing Session for Get Back album.
Location Olympic Sound Studios
Glyn Johns did more work on the Get Back album, with stereo mixing from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and playback from 7:00 to 10:00 PM and from 10:30 to 11:00 PM with The Beatles in attendance. This was one of several sessions that turned into a business meeting between The Beatles. In this case, Allen Klein was present. Paul, pressured to sign a contract signed by the other Beatles the previous day giving Allen Klein's ABKCO company the rights to manage Apple. Basically, this made Klein The Beatles' personal manager. After the other Beatles had left, Paul recorded a song with Steve Miller that night called My Dark Hour. Paul played drums, bass, and sung backing vocals while Miller sang lead and played all the other instruments. Crediting Paul as Paul Ramon - the pseudonym he had used on the Johnny Gentle Tour in 1960 - the single was released on June 16 under the Steve Miller Band name.
