| Short description | Mixing and Recording Sessions. Songs Mixed: Run For Your Life and We Can Work It Out. Songs Recorded: The Word and I'm Looking Through You. |
| Location | Abbey Road Studios |
There were two sessions on this date. The first session was a 2:30 to 5:30 PM mix session in Room 65 of Abbey Road Studios. This yielded stereo masters of Run For Your Life and We Can Work It Out, which were not intended for Rubber Soul, but were instead for Australian and US albums. The Beatles did not attend this first session. They did, however, come later to participate in a 9:00 PM to 4:00 AM (Originally scheduled to end at 3:00; It ran long) recording session. The first thing they did in this session was put to tape three takes of The Word, beginning and completing the song. They then recorded a second remake of I'm Looking Through You, making Take 4 a new "best" take by the end of the session.
