Before the Plastic Ono Band session began, John spent 10:00 AM to 1:45 PM mixing the tapes from his Plastic Ono Band concert in Toronto into stereo. He mixed Kim Fowley's introduction of the band, Blue Suede Shoes, Money (That's What I Want), Dizzy Miss Lizzy, Yer Blues, Cold Turkey, Give Peace A Chance, Son't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Only Looking For Her Hand In The Snow), and John, John (Let's Hope For Peace). These tapes were taken to Apple by Geoff Emerick afterwards. John returned to Abbey Road for a 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM session, with the Plastic Ono Band, this time comprising of John Lennon on vocals and guitar, Eric Clapton on guitar, Klaus Voormann on bass, Ringo Starr on drums, and Yoko Ono participating on the recording, though Ono's contribution is not exactly specified. During this session, they recorded the firt studio version of Cold Turkey, with twenty-six takes completed of the basic track with lead vocals. John Lennon produced.
