This session began at 10:45 AM, when Paul listened to playback of the master takes of songs from McCartney for forty-five minutes. Then, from 11:30 AM to 2:15 PM, he recorded twelve takes of Man We Was Lonely. After taking a break for an hour, Paul overdubbed onto the track from 3:15 to 9:00 PM. These included his vocal overdubs with Linda McCartney. It was mixed into stereo from 9:00 and 11:00 PM.
