| Short description | Ringo Starr recording for "With A Little Help From My Friends" TV special. Songs Recorded: Octopus's Garden. |
| Location | Abbey Road Studios |
A 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM session where Ringo recorded new vocals for Octopus's Garden onto a basic track with different musicians providing bass, lead guitar, and piano than The Beatles version for a TV special called With A Little Help From My Friends where Ringo lip-synched to a version of the song. New instrumentation had to be recorded for the special, though, because the Musicians' Union had strict rules on lip-synching to a recording, so the new instruments and vocals were recorded to seem as if the recording were live. The overdub was recorded in ten takes.
