Ringo Starr did a second remake of
It Don't Come Easy, now with the final title. This recording was following earlier attempts on
February 18 and
February 19.
George Harrison produced and played guitar. There is no solid evidence that this session took place at Trident Studios, but it wasn't at
Abbey Road Studios. Apple said that there were "absolutely no plans for the record to be released as a single at the present time." While this was true at the time, the song was eventually issued as a single on
April 9,
1971, after taping overdubs on
March 11 and in October
1970.
