At the beginning of this 7:30 PM to 2:00 AM session was spent making a reduction mixdown of Take 99 of Not Guilty, tranforming it to Take 102. Onto this, another drum track, another lead guitar track, and another bass track were added. They would do more work on this song on August 12. After John, George, and Ringo went home, Paul recorded his new song Mother Nature's Son alone. Paul recorded twenty-five takes, with Take 24 being labelled best and later having brass overdubs added.
