| Short description | Recording Session. Songs Recorded: Hey Bulldog. The entire session was filmed. |
| Location | Abbey Road Studios |
Originally, there was a session from 2:30 AM to 12:30 PM planned for the day before, but that was cancelled in favor of this 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM session. During this session, they taped the promotional clip for Lady Madonna, but instead of having them mime to the song, they just filmed themselves recording a new song, Hey Bulldog. They recorded this new song for the Yellow Submarine movie, just in case their then-unfinished song You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) was not completed in time. It would not be, and Hey Bulldog would be used instead, albeit only in the British version of the film. The Hey Bulldog sequence would not be seen in the US until the 1999 rerelease of the film on DVD. The filming of the promotional clip was overseen by Tony Bramwell. Two color clips from this session were made to Lady Madonna. They would aired four times on BBC1, all in black-and-white.
