| Short description | Recording and Mixing Session. Songs Recorded: Good Day Sunshine. Songs Mixed: And Your Bird Can Sing. |
| Location | Abbey Road Studios |
This session began with engineer Geoff Emerick editing together two mono mixes of And Your Bird Can Sing between 1:00 and 2:00 PM. The Beatles then began new recording, when three takes of Good Day Sunshine were taped after numerous taped rehersals. It was decided, however, that Take 1 was the best, and Paul's lead vocals and George and John's backing vocals were overdubbed onto this. Work on Good Day Sunshine, at this point titled A Good Day's Sunshine, lasted from 2:30 PM to 2:30 AM. More overdubs would be done on June 9.
