Short description The Beatles record Love Me Do (with Ringo on drums) and How Do You Do It?.
Location Abbey Road Studios

The band flew from Liverpool in the morning and arrived around lunchtime. They rehearsed six songs, including those that would be recorded later that day and a slower, more Roy Orbison-like version of Please Please Me. George Martin insisted that How Do You Do It? should be their first single, although the group did not like the song. They recorded a version anyway, even though it was not released until 1995's Anthology 1. The band recorded more than fifteen takes of Love Me Do, as well as the vocals overdubs. With work completed on the track, the song was put onto an acetate disc to be listened to the next day.
