[edit] A Day In The Life
- Overdubs onto take 4: Paul's bass, Ringo's drums, another John's vocal and, for the first time on this song, Paul's vocals. Paul's lyrics were perfectly matched with John's and the alarm clock that announced the end of the 24 bars and the beginning of the middle eight. The alarm clock renforced Paul's vocals Woke up, fell out of bed in a perfect way. Unfortunately (?), Paul's vocals were marred by an expletive he shouted after he made an error and his vocals, at this stage, would only serve as a guide for the finale version. Paul re-recorded his vocals on the February 3, 1967 session.
