This program, the finals of the competition, was sponsored by the charity Oxfam and was held at the Prince Of Wales Theatre in central London. The second half of the evening was screened live on BBC2 as It's Beat Time. Eleven groups had made it to the finals. These included The Southerns, The The Connosseurs, The Starfires, The Apaches, Formula Five, The Down-Beats, The Vibros, The Countdowns, Roy Stuart and The Cyclones, Danny Clarke and The Jaguars, and The Crusaders.
