Rock And Roll Music is a song written by Chuck Berry in 1957. The Beatles recorded the song for 1964's Beatles for Sale album.

Recording
The song was recorded at a time when The Beatles were running short on original material. It was recorded in one take on October 18, 1964. Also during this nine-hour session (intended to finish up Beatles for Sale were Kansas City/Hey-Hey-Hey-Hey!, Mr. Moonlight, I Feel Fine, I'll Follow The Sun, Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby, and Words Of Love. It had been recorded for several BBC radio programs, including Pop Goes The Beatles and Saturday Club. A performance for Saturday Club is included on the 1995 album Live At The BBC. This version was taped on November 25, 1964. It was broadcast on December 26.

The song was part of The Beatles' live set from 1959 to 1966. A version from Nippon Budokan Hall in Tokyo, Japan from June 1966, shortly before they had stopped touring, appears on Anthology 2.
