On this date, the promo film for Strawberry Fields Forever was filmed. Tony Bramwell of Subafilms produced the film. It was filmed on color 35mm film, although it was broadcast in black and white in the UK. The director was Peter Goldman, who was suggested by The Beatles' longtime friend Klaus Voorman. The Beatles asked Goldman to come to Britain in early January to look around for possible locations to film. He chose Knole Park to be used on this date.
