The Beatles taped an appearance on the ABC TV program Big Night Out, hosted by Mike and Bernie Winters. This would be the first of four appearances with the comedian brothers. Other guests in this edition of the program were Billy Dainty, Patsy Ann Noble, and Lionel Blair. After daytime rehearsals, the program was taped in front of an audience of 600. The Beatles lip-synched to From Me To You, She Loves You, and Twist And Shout. The program was transmitted from 7:40 to 8:30 PM on September 7. Originally, The Beatles were asked to appear in an edition taped on August 18 and aired August 24, but their schedule could not accommodate this.
