Teddy Boy
From BeatlesWiki
Teddy Boy is a song composed solely by Paul McCartney and demoed by The Beatles during the Get Back sessions rehearsals in January, 1969. Although a proper take of the song was never recorded by The Beatles, one of the rehearsal recordings was considered for inclusion on the 'Get Back' LP. After the song was dropped from both the 'Get Back' and 'Let It Be' LPs, Paul McCartney recorded and released it on his first solo album McCartney in 1970. The Beatles version of the song was eventually released on Anthology 3 in 1996.
Lyric
The lyric tells the story of a young boy named Teddy, who lives with his mother, a war widow. When Teddy's mother meets a new man she would like to marry, Ted runs away from home and never returns, but still occasionally thinks of his mother from time to time.
