This was The Beatles' second appearnce on the influential pop program "Thank Your Lucky Stars," broadcast throughout Britain. It was taped at ABC's Teddington Studio Theatre. They were called for rehearsal at 11:00 AM. The program was recorded later, when they lip-synched to Please Please Me. It was aired on February 23 from 5:50 PM to 6:30 PM. They were now third on a seven-act bill. The first on the bill was Billy Fury, who The Beatles had auditioned to perform with on May 10, 1960. A short clip of this performance was aired on ABC's "At Large" on March 2.
