The Beatles (radio show)
From BeatlesWiki
The Beatles was a radio series on Radio Luxembourg aired for forty-two weeks every Saturday night from 8:45 to 9:00 PM from January 3 to October 17, 1965. The Beatles did not contribute new musical recording to this series, and, in fact, had very little to do with the series at all. Radio Luxembourg had to spread the small amount of interview material they gave them in December 1964, on March 20, April 29, and June 20, 1965. Most of the show's fifteen minutes was given to news items and record requests.

Beatles Interviews for the show
c. December 21 - December 24, 1964
Sometime during the first week of Another Beatles Christmas Show, radio broadcaster/DJ Chris Denning visited The Beatles in their dressing room and interviewed them while they were eating dinner for a new series called The Beatles on Radio Luxembourg. Also during this interview, The Beatles read listeners' letters and dedicated songs to friends and family. In the first interview, John dedicated records to Pete Shotton and Nigel Whalley, Paul dedicated records to Ivan Vaughan, to the boys of The Liverpool Institute (Paul's former school) and the girls of Blackburne House (across the road from The Liverpool Institute), George dedicated records to his school friends Arthur Kelly and Tony Workman, and Ringo dedicated records to his friend Roy Trafford and to Ernie and Vi (his parents) and Al Caldwell (AKA Rory Storm).
March 20, 1965
After a day of filming for Help!, John and Ringo were given a telephone interview by Chris Denning in London. George and Paul did not participate.
April 29, 1965
Chris Denning gave The Beatles another interview for The Beatles. This time, he visited Twickenham Film Studios while The Beatles were filming Help!. He recorded new interviews with John, Paul, and George while Ringo was filming a scene. Later on, he interviewed Ringo alone after he was done filming.
June 20, 1965
The Beatles, while staying at the George V Hotel in Paris, were given their final interview by Chris Denning. Like their interview in December 1964, they dedicated song requests. John dedicated records to Harold Wilson, Paul dedicated recorded to critcs Bernard Levin, Donald Zec, Wolf Mankowitz, and his family, Ringo dedicated records for newspaper pop writers Don Short and Judith Simons, and for fan club secretary Freda Kelly, and for all the dockers in Liverpool, and George dedicated records for "all the miners in Scunthorpe." Even Neil Aspinall was pressured into being interviewed, with The Beatles suggesting he dedicate a song to Mal Evans.
