The Cookies were an American R&B girl group. They gained success both as a backing group for other artists and as their own group.

- Their 1962 single Chains became a minor hit in England. Because of this, many Merseybeat groups added the song to their setlists. Among these groups were The Beatles, who went on to record a cover of it for their 1963 debut album, Please Please Me.
