The Everly Brothers

The Everly Brothers are a Country-influenced Rock and Roll band. Comprised of Don Everly and Phil Everly, the group formed in 1957.

- The Beatles covered their song I Wonder If I Care As Much during their live performances from 1959 to 1961.
- The Beatles covered their song Cathy's Clown during their live performances from 1960 to 1962.
- The Beatles covered their song Love Of My Life during their live performances from 1960 to 1962.
- The Beatles covered their song So How Come (No One Loves Me) during their live performances from 1961 to 1962.
- The Beatles song Please Please Me's vocal harmonies were based off that of The Everly Brothers' song Cathy's Clown.
- The Beatles covered their song So How Come (No One Loves Me) for the sixth edition of the BBC radio show Pop Goes The Beatles, recorded on July 10, 1963 and broadcast on July 23. This is included on the 1994 compilation Live at the BBC.
- Ringo Starr saw The Everly Brothers in concert on October 3, 1963 at the Odeon Cinema in Southend as part of a package tour with The Rolling Stones and Bo Diddley.
- The Beatles covered their song Cathy's Clown during a Get Back session on January 24, 1969. This version is available on bootlegs.
- Paul McCartney and John Lennon covered their song Bye Bye Love during a Get Back session on January 25, 1969. This version is available on bootlegs.
- George Harrison covered their song Bye Bye Love for his 1974 album Dark Horse.
- George Harrison, along with Paul Simon, covered the song Bye Bye Love on the set of Saturday Night Live during a rehearsal on November 18, 1976. This is available on several bootlegs, including 20 x 4.
- After being broken up for ten years, The Everly Brothers reformed in 1983 for a new album, EB 84. The opening track, "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" was written by Paul McCartney and became a minor hit. In addition, McCartney also plays guitar on the album.
- Paul McCartney covered the song during his 1990 World Tour. A version from September 1990 is availble on a CD included in a press kit for his album Tripping The Live Fantastic.
