The Walk

The Walk was covered by The Beatles during the Get Back sessions rehearsals in January of 1969. The song was included in one of the early compilations for the 'Get Back' LP in 1969, but by the time the album was released as Let It Be in 1970, the song had long been dropped from the line-up, and to this day remains a much bootleged outtake. The song, though usually heard in an abbreviated, minute long version, is actually part of a piece lasting about four minutes. The version commonly heard, and indeed the one considered for inclusion on the original 'Get Back' LP, is only the very end of this longer performance, clocking in at only 0:54. The song was originally written and performed by Jimmy McCracklin.
