What'd I Say
From BeatlesWiki
What'd I Say is a 1959 song originally by Ray Charles. The Beatles originally covered it live from 1960 to 1962. They also covered it during the Get Back sessions in January 1969. A recording of Tony Sheridan being backed by another group of musicians also called The Beat Brothers playing this song has been mistakenly attributed to Sheridan backed by The Beatles on many bootlegs. It has been suggested, however, that What'd I Saw was played by The Beatles at their unsuccessful audition for Decca Records on January 1, 1962. If such a performance was made, it is likely that it would have been destroyed or not recorded.
